did i say am fat?
okay, in case u dun hear me correct, i am legally 18 kgs fatter than my pre-preggie weight or my pre-wed mass.

18!
once i announced to The Husband and he tried (profusely) not so shocked.
then later he asked “do you feel heavy?”
Of course i am!
*pout*

you see, among all the many reasons contributed generously to my…*cough* fleshy-me is his fault! bley?
i blame him for my excess eating.
i blame him for not stopping me enjoy good food.
and i can always blame him for sweet talk right? nevermind if it’s not true but us woman we like to hear ’em kan? heh

just one thing for sure i’d never blame him for having our little Jr, tho clearly it was how i started develop these lovely lemaks. huhu

so i told him i want to watch my diet.
first step : reduce oil intake.
NO LESS fried-food, MORE boils or grill, MORE water and fibre.
tengok le boleh bertahan sampai bila. haha


Today i browsed for rebus-rebus menu when i found this simple recipe. It’s easy, instant and i bet sedap.
It is so called Asam Pedas Rebus. hehe…macam tak surprise pun kan?
Anyway I try out just now it just take less than 30 mins to get ready.
So i guess this simple menu is going to top my list of family menu from now.
Next i will try to master Singgang Ikan. Wht do you call eh, but i know we kelantanese just love this singgang meal.

    lerrr ingatkan nak share resepi asam pedas rebus.. boleh lah kita kurus sama2.. :Dini resepi rebus mak I .. goes really well with petola:tumbuk halus – bawang merah (2,3 ulas), lada hitam (sebanyak u suka, I suggest start with 1/4 tsp), ikan bilis or udang kering (sebanyak u suka, I use satu genggam).Campak masuk periuk with petola hiris serong and just enough water to cover the petola.Rebus.masukkan soo-hoon kalau nak.salt to taste.Makan dengan nasik putih panas2.. yum yum.Guna kobis, kacang panjang, timun or corgettes also can.kalau ganti air with santan, jadilah dia masak lemak 😉

    asam rebus is definitely no fat recipe!my recipe for masak asam rebus is a little bit different from elisa’s mom. Mine is Asam Rebus Batang Keladi:bawang merah – tumbuk haluslada hitam – tumbuk haluscili kering – blendBelacan – kalau tak guna belacan, boleh ganti udang kering.Isi ikan rebus – sekor jer selalu I buat, tambah lah kalau buat banyak. Isi ikan tumbuk lepas bawang merah dan lada hitam dah lumat.Air asam jawa – find a good kualiti sebab ada yang masam pahit, ada yang masam manis. I like the latter. Biasanya asam jawa yang dibungkus dari Kedah is good. Buatan kampung punya. Batang keladi dan ubinya – disiang dan rebus dulu dan toskan.Garam dan serbuk ikan bilis kalau suka.Rebus semua bahan diatas hingga rasa dia sebati. Makan dengan nasi panas, oh sungguh yum! Tapi tak jamin tau kalau makan nasi banyak!!! hehehehehehe…p/s: resepi ni kalau tak rasa masam tak sedap tau, so budget lah air asam jawa tu banyak sikit dari biasa.

    elisa – thanks! i suka simple recipe mcm ni. normally i letak tht labu air (apa nama omputeh?) yg comel2 panjang sikit tu. senang nk masak, jimat masa and oil-free. :)kak wani – thanks! tis one is my mom’s fav. moi not a keladi fan. tapi sometimes i beli for my mom. dia mmg suka masak yg mcm ni. i try the kuah, mmg masam but nice lah.thanks.:)
